I wonder why it is that so many people worry about the product they are using, are they thinking that the product will make all the blending look amazing or that the placement will be perfect and it will wear all day, or that it will make someone with less than perfect skin look perfect. Is this a makeup dream world, it's rather like trying to wear and walk in shoes right after you exit the womb.
I have always thought that that the technique you use to be far the most important part of doing makeup. How much pressure you apply, the quantity of product you use and the way the tools are held and the angles you use. There is nothing like practice practice practice and not repeating the same mistakes over and over.
Products do matter simply because if you don't have any you can't do makeup but we should not get hung up on the brand names as much as the final results. The fact is you can not look at a makeup and know what products an artist used you simply see the finished results, It looks pretty or it doesn't. Now I have to decide should I use my wet'n'wild eyeliner or my Urban Decay; oh the decisions.
